Bedford School has a thriving and welcoming community that extends far beyond current pupils and staff to include parents, past parents, former staff, and Old Bedfordians (OBs).

The community is overseen by the Bedford School Association (BSA).

“A trip to the other side the world to visit relations in New Zealand provided an ideal opportunity to meet up with Old Bedfordians whilst en route. Using the Alumni Directory I was able to contact the DVPs in Dubai, Auckland, Sydney and Singapore. Get togethers were quickly arranged and we were able to enjoy the delightful company of OBs and partners at several enchanting venues in many wonderful cities.”

Boys Excel in GCSE Examinations

Among the strongest GCSE outcomes in the school’s history, this year’s results represent Bedford’s second-highest GCSE performance on record. Across all examinations, 72% of grades were awarded at 9-7 (equivalent to A*-A), while an outstanding 93.2% of all grades achieved were at 9-5. More than a quarter of all grades awarded were Grade 9, the highest possible grade, reflecting the hard work, ambition and commitment shown by this year’s boys.

Celebrating an Outstanding Set of A-Level Results

Building on the excellent International Baccalaureate results achieved earlier this summer, this year’s leavers have once again achieved remarkable success across a wide range of academic and vocational pathways. Alongside A-Levels, boys also celebrated strong results in BTEC Sport Science and Enterprise & Entrepreneurship.

Rowers Strike Double Gold for Great Britain at Coupe de la Jeunesse

Two Upper Sixth Formers have achieved outstanding international success after winning double gold for Great Britain at the 2026 Coupe de la Jeunesse in Lucerne, Switzerland, helping to cap one of the most successful seasons in Bedford School Boat Club history.
