We are proud to say that our boys pulled out all the stops once again for this year’s ‘Christmas in a Box’ appeal. By Friday 4 December, each class in the Prep School helped to fill our atrium with a mountain of decorated boxes full of essential supplies and festive treats for the All Nations Church’s annual appeal, run in conjunction with the Bedford Foodbank.

Every boy was asked to donate just one or two items from a shopping list, including stuffing and mince pies. Their combined donations should have created 25 boxes – one for each class and one for Eagle House. However, this year, there was enough to fill over 30 boxes with food for local families!

With the ongoing pandemic seriously affecting our local community, this year’s appeal is even more vital.

The Foodbank in Bedford alone has seen a 40% increase from this time last year for support and expects the Foodbank to be busier than ever this winter.

To be able to play a small part in helping local families in crisis through the ‘Christmas in a Box’ appeal, which last year distributed over 830 boxes reaching over 1,900 people in Bedford, is humbling. Thank you to everyone for their kindness and generosity – your contributions to the Christmas hampers will make a real difference to local families this Christmas.
