Our Y7 boys were transported back to the time of the English Civil Wars on Tuesday 13 March, when Kevin Hicks of The History Squad joined us for a series of entertaining and educational sessions to investigate this exciting period of history.
Kevin introduced the boys to the world of fighting in the English Civil Wars. With the opportunity to handle the weaponry and armour used by soldiers, the talk brought to life the tragedies and triumphs of that dramatic era. Each session was brought to a dramatic end with the firing of matchlock musket, which we can tell you is very loud!
It proved a wonderful morning that helped to bring history to life for the boys.
