Bedford Prep School Drama proudly present ‘A bridge to the Stars’. Staged by Y7 & Y8 actors from Bedford prep and Bedford Girls’ School, ‘A Bridge to the Stars’ tells the story of how a community survives on the edge of nature.
“This story is about the town I love And a boy who lives here. He wishes he lived somewhere else, Not here in the far north, A thousand miles from the sea.“
Joel is eleven and he lives with his father, Samuel, in a small town in the far north. Samuel is a sailor who has been marooned a thousand miles from the sea. Both are looking for a way to escape the isolated and icy world they inhabit, a way that will lead them to the stars.
A Bridge to the Stars is a story about how much children need parents and how much parents need children.
