The annual Luncheon for Old Bedfordians and wives/partners living within or visiting Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and Isle of Wight was held on Saturday 1st October

We were delighted to welcome some old boys who had not joined us for many years. This year was a very special occasion as one of our number, Surgeon Cmdr Mark Darlow (24-34) celebrated his 100th birthday in July of this year. To mark the occasion, DVP Paul Mantell (66-71) spoke a few words and proposed a toast to Mark, thanking him for his outstanding support (together with his three sons) that he has given to the Old Bedfordians Club over many years. Mark, the raconteur that he is, then responded with some witty and thoughtful words in thanks.

Sandy Gray (59-64), former President of the Old Bedfordians Club, also very kindly updated all of us on current news of the School. In particular, the recent outstanding academic results and the wonderful new Quarry Theatre following the transformation of St Luke’s Church.

Paul Mantell (66-71)
