Teams of two to three boys from the Fourth Form and Removes battled it out on Saturday 17 June to see who could convince their audience that the bugs that they presented were ‘The World’s Worst Disease’.

The ‘poster presentation’ event was a testament to the boys right across the school. The Upper School teams were mentored by Lower Sixth boys, who could attend the presentations to see how their teams performed. The audience and judging panel comprised Y8 Prep boys who had to be persuaded which was indeed the worst of the diseases.

The event was a great success with the quality of the work being such that all groups were awarded commendations. Mr Beale, Head of Science, thanked the boys for their efforts, commenting ‘We have often found that it is students who show traits like this at an early stage who go on to successfully apply to the best courses at the best universities.’ Acknowledging the input from boys in the other year groups, Mr Beale added, ‘Very well done and many thanks also for the time and guidance provided by the mentors … and to the wonderfully mature PS 8N class, who gave of their time and patience so generously.’

The winning team for the Fourth Form was Team E and for Removes was Team A. Well done to the winners and to all the teams who took part for such a high standard of work.
