The Geography department
held the ‘Big Geography Debate’ over lunchtime on Friday 5 February.

Our IB
pupils debated against our A-level pupils on the motion; ‘This house
believes that globalisation has done more harm than good to our world’. The big
audience were treated to a convincing, well researched and broad argument from
both sides of the house and insightful contributions from the floor.

Ultimately the judges
(Mrs Murray & Mr Rees) crowned the IB team as the winners for their
proposal of the motion. However, the decision was very hard to make, as evidenced
by the floor’s 50:50 split.

Thank you to Mr Gracie
and Mrs Hudson for their organisation and well done to the boys for their
participation.
