Our Y3 and Y4 boys proved they truly were rockstars this week when they performed superbly in the Times Tables Rock Stars ‘England Rocks’ Competition. The boys came 44th overall and fifth in the region—an epic and much-deserved result.
From Tuesday 12 to Thursday 14 November, the boys played for up to an hour a day answering times table questions on the TT Rockstars website.
They were one of 4,493 schools taking part, which produced some pretty big numbers overall: 30,188 classes, 384,508 students and 201,618,322 correct answers! So, to do so well is all the more impressive.
Mrs Carrington told us, “All the boys did incredibly well. We are so proud of them all, as this was all about teamwork. We came 44th overall!!!! A little treat may be coming as a reward for their incredible effort. We are so grateful to TT Rockstars for making such a fun competition and learning times tables so enjoyable.”
Special congratulations must go to 4O, who came 13th in the region, and 4C, who came 17th. Kaveish Elanko in Y4 was our top pupil with 18,609 answers, and Prithviraj Dessai was the top pupil in Y3 with 6,134 answers. Further honourable mentions go to Brendan Basal (12,705), Billy Kotsidis (11,853) and Harry Findlay (9,971) in Y4 and Joseph Bright (3,300), Beau Faulkner (3,132) and Hugo Appleton (2,884).
