Bedford
to the Sea

Max (Y8)
and Sebastian (Remove Form) are undertaking a tremendous challenge this
October.  The two brothers, along with ocean rower and Old Bedfordian Ian
Rowe (73-84), and Star Club rower David Sogan, will row an incredible 72 miles
on the Great Ouse from Bedford to King’s Lynn and The Wash in aid of Bedford
Day Care Hospice.  The boys will undertake the challenge in Ian Rowe’s
ocean rowing boat, ‘Lisa Too’, which was used by double Olympic rowing champion
James Cracknell and TV Adventurer Ben Fogle to win the 2005 Atlantic Rowing
Race.

Ian
Silk, Headmaster, commented, “We are incredibly proud of both boys for taking
on this extraordinary challenge. It’s a very creative example of the school’s
efforts to raise money for an excellent cause. The whole school community is
fully behind them and we wish them the very best of luck.”

Please
do consider sponsoring Sebastian and Max at www.JustGiving.com/B2Sea

We wish
them the very best of luck, and will keep you up to date with their progress.
