Twelve aspiring architects in Yr 11, 12 and 13 were treated to an enlightening and informative tour of Cambridge on Sunday 20th September by OB Roger France (45-56), an architect himself. Visiting Magdalene (where we were greeted by Michael Keall (Staff 57-62)), Sidney Sussex, Queens’, Darwin, Pembroke and Jesus Colleges they experienced a range of periods of architecture. One particular highlight was seeing further examples of G.F Bodley’s work, the architect who designed the school Chapel, including his magnificent Queens’ Chapel. The day was both an inspiring and thought provoking experience and very much enjoyed by all those who attended.
