Congratulations to Jaynil Patel (Lower Sixth) who won the East Anglian
regional heat of ARTiculation: the national Arts Public Speaking Competition, on
2 February 2016.
Jaynil Patel had qualified to participate for the regaional heat, held
at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts in Norwich, following success in the
preheat last term. Talking about the sculptor Richard Long’s piece ‘Walking the
Labyrinth’, Jaynil was the last of the six contestants to present his talk.
Adjudicator Ghislaine Wood, Director of the Sainsbury Centre, commented that
his assured and eloquent presentation explaining his journey to understanding
this piece made him a very worthy winner.
Jaynil will now compete in the final of the competition in Cambridge on
Friday 10 March.
