Art for Good Award
OB Freddie Peacock (10–21) is a boundary-breaking British artist and designer operating at the forefront of art, fashion, and contemporary culture. Originally studying at Central Saint Martins – where Freddie earned himself a Louis Vuitton design award, he has since progressed further into the worlds of music, fashion and sport, collaborating with a host of brands and A-listers on a global scale – such as New Balance and Ebere Eze.
Most recently, Freddie displayed his biggest artwork to date – a 3D animation experience during main stage performances at both Reading & Leeds Festivals in front of over 40,000 people. Freddie’s impressive output since leaving Bedford truly represents what success as a creative mind looks like within contemporary culture – fluid, cross-disciplinary, and impossible to box in.

Freddie recently approached the school with an inspiring proposal to establish The Art for Good Award (AfGA). The award will celebrate a young artist within the school who demonstrates both creativity and a strong commitment to pursue a future in the arts. Working with the Art Department, he will select one pupil from a suitable year group to take part in a unique mentoring experience where he will be collaborating with Freddie to create a painting to be displayed at the school and sold via an online auction at a later date. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the student’s chosen charity, with a percentage being awarded directly to the student to support their continuing artistic development.
We are delighted that the first student who has been selected to work with Freddie for this life-changing opportunity is Upper Sixth Former Sean.
Freddie is passionate about giving boys a holistic understanding of how creative work develops beyond the classroom. Therefore, this experience will intentionally be unlike anything typically offered in school. Having navigated the transition from a school art classroom to pursuing a creative career since leaving in 2020, Freddie knows first-hand how valuable it would have been to bridge that gap earlier. Sean will have the option to receive social media exposure through Freddie’s platforms and gain an insight into how to build and engaged online audience and present his world publicly.
We are extremely grateful to Freddie for providing the school with this remarkable opportunity and look forward to following Sean’s progress.
