We are delighted to announce that George Christian has been awarded an Arkwright Scholarship. One of the most prestigious scholarship schemes in the UK, Arkwright Engineering Scholarships are awarded to high-calibre students through a rigorous selection process. These scholarships support students through their A-Levels, encouraging them to pursue engineering at university or through high-quality apprenticeships.
George is the third Bedford School boy in the last three years to be awarded an Arkwright Scholarship – Gabriel Von der Hyde received an Arkwright Scholarship in 2015 and James Hughes in 2014. The scholarship award includes a cash prize, access to mentoring with Medical equipment designer, DePuy
Synthes, and enrichment opportunities including industry-based engineering experience days, magazine subscriptions and technical lectures.
