We are proud to announce that violinist and OB Cristian Grajner de Sa (02-11) has recently received this year’s prestigious ‘J & A Beare Bow Prize’.  The prize has been awarded annually since 1912 to the most promising graduating string student from the Royal Academy of Music.

Described as “a wonderful musician and a truly great violinist” by Pierre Amoyal, Cristian is firmly establishing himself as an emerging young talent. He made his concerto debut at the tender age of 14 performing at St James’s Piccadilly, London and has since enjoyed performing in many of the prestigious concert halls in the UK. Amongst his many accomplishments, Cristian is a former 1st prize winner at the Groba International Violin Competition in Spain (2015) and was a strings finalist in the BBC Young Musician in 2012. He is now enrolled at the Mozarteum of Salzburg in the class of Pierre Amoyal .

We’d like to wish Cristian all the best with his future music career. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy listening to some of his pieces which were recorded here at the School.
