Our Y3 boys wrapped up their studies of the Ancient Egyptians in style by becoming Ancient Egyptians or Egyptologists themselves for a day.

Dressed in wonderful costumes, the boys stepped back in time into the fascinating and enigmatic world of the Ancient Egyptians. They discovered what happens after the death of a mighty pharaoh, including tomb building, the mummification process, burial ceremonies and, finally, the crowning of the new Pharaoh.

The boys enjoyed a lesson in basic maths the Egyptian way, a game of Hounds and Jackals (an Egyptian board game) and an Egyptian themed quiz. They also looked at fascinating artefacts to find out even more about the Egyptian way of life.

Even lunchtime proved exciting when the boys discovered even more Egyptian treasures in the Dining Hall.
