On Saturday 16th April the 1st VIII versus OB races were hotly contested in the afternoon. Two different OB crews took pride in holding the 1st VIII to a one all draw! In the evening, the annual Boat Club Dinner and Awards Evening was held in the Great Hall. Over 150 guests attended, ranging from members of the 1966 crew, to boys who began to row in 2016. Dinner was followed by the coaches’ review of the year and the presentation of awards. To round off the evening, an excellent speech was given by Head Coach at Eton, Alex Henshilwood (81-91) whose key message to the rowers was, “Fix your attitude, follow your dreams relentlessly”.
