Boys form the Prep School enjoyed a scientific treat
thanks to our Lower Sixth International Baccalaureate (IB) students on Tuesday
18 June 2015.

As part of their IB Diploma, Sixth Formers work in groups
to produce a project on a scientific topic of their choice. They then create
their own stand and exhibit their work. This year the topics ranged from Batman
to marshmallows, with a wide variety in between. As part of the teams’
presentations, the younger boys were able to sample different flavoured cookies,
see the erosion of a leaf in a jar of sulphuric acid and watch a video of an
insect which has its own cannon for firing burning liquid.

All of the groups’ stands were superb – congratulations
to our hugely talented IB scientists.
