Across the Prep School this week, boys of all ages have been busy recording for this year’s Christmas film, called ‘Always Have Hope’.

Each year group, in turn, has visited the Chapel in their bubble to record their chosen carol amidst the sparkling Christmas lights. It has been a unique experience for the boys in each year to have the whole Chapel to themselves, and they have filled it with not only beautiful singing but also Christmas cheer – so heartening to see and hear.

Interwoven amongst this year’s carols and traditional readings is a new drama piece written by Mrs Turton, our Head of Speech and Drama, and performed by the boys. She told us, “It is based on hope and having faith during these difficult times, whilst comparing it to the traditional Christmas story of Mary and Joseph. I hope by doing this, it becomes relatable but also puts things in perspective during these difficult times and inspires to help those in need”.

The film, which replaces our traditional carol services this year, will be available to watch during the last week of the term.
