Twenty year-old acoustic singer, songwriter Alex (04-13) plays both acoustic and an electric guitar during his performances. After leaving Bedford School in 2013, Alex spent two years at Bedford College studying Music Performance. In 2015, he decided to continue with his education and is studying History at the University of East Anglia whilst continuing to perform and promote his music.

At the age of fifteen, he started performing in Bedford, but is now playing his own gigs regularly both here and further afield. His performances include his own songs as well as covers that he puts his own unique twist to. His own material will often be based around everyday life experiences that allow the listener to relate to; striving to perform with passion to convey the range of emotions in the song and captivate his audience in order to make them feel part of his show.

Since 2011, Alex started to concentrate on writing his own music and due to the positive reaction, and frequently being asked whether he had his own CD, he decided to use a selection of his own songs which resulted in ‘Complete’ being created. The first song that Alex wrote from the EP was ‘All About You’ which he wrote in early 2014. This song represents the feeling of being attracted to someone without them knowing.

Alex says about the album “The recording took place at Metech Studio’s in Thurleigh. The whole recording process consisted of first laying down the music using just the guitar and then recording the vocals over the top before finally recording any harmonies to give another dimension to the song.”

“My ambition was to finish the EP before I went to University. The EP was finally released on the 22nd October and is now on Spotify, Itunes, Amazon etc. as well as in CD format.”
