Information for Agents
Before we can consider a boy for admission to Bedford School, we require the following documents from agents (unless an individual agreement exists).
An Agent Summary Form, including:
- Applicant’s personal details
- A brief overview of the boy’s interests and hobbies
- Copies of his last two school reports (translated into English if necessary)
- Results of any pre-testing, if available
Information for Agents
If we wish to progress with the application:
- We will email the agent to organise registration
- The registration fee must be paid
- A copy of the boy’s passport is required
Once the online registration form is complete, we will arrange for assessment papers to be sent to the British Council or an approved testing centre. The assessments must be conducted under exam conditions.
After the boy has sat his papers:
- Scanned copies should be sent to Bedford School
- Original scripts must also be returned
- A confidential school reference is required
- We will organise an online interview if the boy has not visited Bedford School
Once the assessment process is complete, we will notify the agent regarding our decision as soon as possible.
Commission will be paid as a one-off payment once the first set of fees is received from the parent.
For more details on our agent agreement and commission structure, please contact our Admissions Team.
Agents interested in introducing a boy should send all required information to: admissions@bedfordschool.org.uk
Our boarding houses remain open over Exeat weekends for our full boarders. Weekly and flexi boarders can opt to also stay over Exeat weekends (for an additional charge).
There is of course no compulsion for full boarders to stay at school over Exeat weekends – they may return home to parents or stay with guardians, if they prefer.
We require all overseas pupils to have a UK-based Guardian, who can be a relative. They must be over 25 years old and not living in student accommodation and either hold a British passport or permanent UK residency.
If no relative is available, guardians must be accredited by the Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students (AEGIS) or the Boarding Schools Association (BSA).
Boys who do not hold a British passport require a Child Student Visa to study in the UK. Bedford School is a licensed sponsor and will provide a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) upon offer acceptance.
Additional visa support may be provided by Fragomen, a global immigration specialist. Note: This service incurs an extra cost for families.
