Head of choral music

We are seeking an inspirational musician to lead choral music and singing at Bedford School. This is a hugely exciting new full-time role suited to an experienced choral director. The successful candidate will work across the whole age range of the school (Y3-13), and will take responsibility for all choral groups, including the Chapel Choir. Our Chapel Choir has a rich and impressive history, and to this day proudly continues its centuries’ old tradition of a boys-only choir singing choral music within a liturgical context. One-to-one teaching will also be required; those with a specialism in either singing or keyboard are equally welcome to apply.

Teacher of Academic Music

We are seeking an inspirational, creative and enthusiastic musician to join the Music Department team at Bedford School. The primary role will be to teach curriculum Music to boys from Y7-13, but there will be also an expectation to be fully involved in the extra-curricular music programme. This is a full-time role and would suit a recent graduate as well as a more experienced practitioner. An additional specialism in either brass or organ would be especially welcome (but not essential).
