Over the course of the last week, the school was filled with the harmonious sounds of our annual Music Prize Competitions, which saw talented musicians from across the school showcasing their skills. Boys competed in the categories Strings, Woodwind, Brass, Piano, Organ, Percussion and Voice.
The atmosphere was electric as the boys performed their well-prepared pieces, each striving for excellence. The adjudicators had a tough challenge in selecting the winners, given the high level of talent displayed.
One adjudicator noted, “It is always a great privilege to sit and listen to the boys perform, and this has been even more the case this year at the Instrumental and Singing Prize Competitions.”
Director of Music, Mr Jonathan Sanders explained, “The boys presented many very well-prepared performances, and it was a challenge for the adjudicators to decide who to pick for the winners in each class. The boys have definitely enjoyed the challenge of preparing for the competitions, and many congratulations to our winners for this year!”Congratulations to all participants for their dedication and hard work, and a special applause for our winners who truly shone in their respective categories. This week of music has been a testament to the incredible talent and passion within our school community.
