While large scale concerts may not have been possible this year, our young musicians and singers have been sharing their talents this term through a series of online information concerts and recordings instead. Recording in year group bubbles, the concerts have proved a wonderful way for the boys to perform and showcase all their hard work to family and friends.
Director of Music, Joss Sanders, explained, “whilst we were initially unsure as to whether re-forming all of our instrumental ensembles into year group bubbles would work, it has actually been a hugely encouraging exercise! Each year group ensemble has met once a week to rehearse in a COVID-secure environment, and the boys have enjoyed playing (and singing) together, putting into practice all of the things they are learning in their weekly instrumental lesson. I hope that parents and friends will be able to enjoy the fruits of the boys’ labours online!”
