Hundreds of independent schools achieve remarkable sporting achievement, month after month. But which schools are the best?
We are delighted to announce that the School Sport Magazine has ranked Bedford School in 25th place in the top independent schools for sport in 2017. This is a rise of 26 places from last year and places us within the top 3% of independent schools in the country.
The list reflects competitive achievement in a range of disciplines throughout last year and honours those schools that take competitions especially seriously. Based on 19 different sports, more weighting is given to success in a range of sports rather than single sports, as well as competitions with more teams competing. Schools usually have to reach the later stages of at least two or three national competitions to make the list.
This is therefore a great accolade for Bedford School, recognising the wide range of sports available to all pupils at the school.
