Fifth
and Sixth Formers enjoyed a highly physical workshop with a professional
theatre company ‘Frantic Assembly’ on Tuesday 13 October. The company worked
collaboratively with the boys, teaching them how to lift each other to create
dramatic, visceral theatre. By the end of the workshop, boys had learnt how to
find physical motifs and explored a range of dynamic movements.

Antoinette
Keylock, Head of Academic Drama, commented on the boys’ excellent response to
the workshop, “I am looking forward to seeing how the boys creatively
integrate the physical skills learnt from today’s workshop in the future. They
have really enjoyed the experience. It is always a joy to see what the company
get out of the pupils in just two hours!”

Frantic
Assembly’s work is diverse, and the choreography can be currently seen in the
National Theatre’s touring production of ‘The Curious incident of the Dog in
the Night-time’.
