Upper School Library
The impressive Upper School Library, opened in 2003, provides a superb resource for boys and staff alike. The innovative and attractive building offers extensive Internet connectivity through wireless networking with laptops and mobile devices available for use in the library. The School Library supports both the academic and recreational needs of the boys, and is the main resource and study area within the School providing a professional, friendly and accessible service.
A place of study, collaboration, development, creativity and knowledge the Upper School library provides a wide range of resources for the whole school community, both within the library and across the network. Our aim is to ensure that all of these resources are relevant, accessible, appropriate and up-to-date and that we identify and remove barriers to information and learning. We have an extensive site on the upper school eLearning site and online resources are accessible on the school network and remotely using the login details provided.
In addition we have a collection of library iPods, Kindles and a Kobo all available to loan from the library and an iPad which we use for library information skills.
The Library Catalogue is used to search for a wide range of materials including books, journals, audio-visual and digital media. Books can be found on the library shelves, reference, reserve and in departmental libraries.
