Seating
Bedford School Theatre has two main seating formats giving seating to 278 or 170 audience members. The 170 seat arrangement is favourable to smaller/intimate shows whereas, the 278 capacity will require the use of the main stage.
Stage
The stage is a fixed proscenium with a height of aprox 900mm (3 feet) from the theatre floor. The apron depth is 2.5m, proscenium opening is 8m and height is 3.6m. Beyond this is the main stage area which is aporximately 8m deep and 10.5m wide. The floor area in front of the raised stage is 6m deep and 11.5m wide.
Lighting & Sound
The lighting grid is hardwired and is equipped with 60 circuits on a three phase supply. Six 300watt speakers are the foundation of the sound system controlled by a computer enabling surround sound and quick/easy access to thousands of sound effects. The mixing desk is a Behringer MX9000.
