British Council Accreditation
The British Council first inspected and accredited Bedford School Study Centre in October 2002. In October 2006 we were one of two International Study Centres to pioneer the British Council's new ISC category for accreditation. In September 2010 the inspectors came back for their third visit.
See www.britishcouncil.org/english/courses for details. Here is their publishable statement:
The British Council inspected and accredited Bedford School Study Centre in September 2010. The Accreditation Scheme assesses the standards of management, resources and premises, teaching and welfare, and accredits organisations which meet the overall standard in each area inspected.
This international study centre offers residential courses in general and academic English for 10-17 year-olds and vacation courses for 10-16 year-olds.
Points of excellence were noted in self-access facilites, pastoral care, the leisure programme and care of under-18s.
The inspection report stated that the organisation met the standards of the Scheme.
