eLearning

The School’s innovative online resource ‘eLearning’, based on the popular open source ‘Moodle’ application, is now an integral part of the School’s teaching strategy. Sitting alongside traditional methods and resources, eLearning has been developed to enhance course organisation, support teaching and learning and encourage students to become active independent learners.

Today all pupils, parents and teachers have access to eLearning. The first phase of establishing a repository of information for every taught course is nearing completion. The next phase will be to extend the use of the more interactive features such as forums, quizzes, RSS feeds from key websites, which automatically update themselves and much more.

As a web based resource, eLearning can be accessed from anywhere around the world at any time, allowing students to continue to be supported away from the classroom.
