Boarding at Bedford
| All of our 6 senior boarding houses offer the best care for the individual. Each house functions broadly as a family unit with the Housemaster and his wife leading a team of people who are committed to the boys in their care. All of the boarding houses are well appointed with attractive and comfortable bedrooms and full recreational facilities including a common room, games room and extensive grounds. Whilst main meals are taken in the School's dining halls, each house has its own kitchen where boys can make themselves snacks and drinks during the evenings. The houses are also networked to enable boys to make use of the School's email system, intranet and of course, study using the internet. The House Community thrives and develops through its involvement in House Singing, theatre visits, informal competitions, paintballing, plays, quizes, barbecues and celebrations. The well established work ethos, supervised preps (homework) and personal study allow each individual to work towards their academic goals. |

13+ boarding
Pemberley, Phillpotts and Talbot’s houses are situated on the boundaries of the School campus while Redburn and Sanderson's occupy sites in a leafy suburban area just 5 minutes walk away from the School. Boys typically share rooms with 5 other boys whilst sixth formers occupy single or twin rooms.
Sixth Form boarding
All boys joining Bedford exclusively for the sixth form, to follow either A level or International Baccalaureate programmes, are allocated either a single study bedroom or share a twin or triple room.
