Upper School Library 

The impressive Upper School Library, opened in 2003, provides a superb resource for boys and staff alike.  This innovative and attractive building with custom built library furniture offers extensive Internet connectivity through wireless networking, including on line referencing.  Laptop computers as well as books and audio visual material are available for loan to pupils.  The School Library supports both the academic and recreational needs of the boys.  It is the main resource and study area within the School and aims to provide a professional, friendly and accessible service.  There are approximately 13,000 books - both fiction and non-fiction and a broad range of daily newspapers and periodicals.

The School Library also offers a computer area, a seminar room and a garden which can be used for private sixth form study.

Digital Media

The library is currently developing the use of digital media in the school using the ClickView Digital Library for video content and providing iPods in the library for academic content and audio books. We have a subscription to GCSEpod giving pupils the opportunity to listen to all the content provided.

School Intranet

Both the Prep School and Upper School libraries provide information using the School intranet. This gives access to the library catalogue and online subscriptions and is available both across the School network and from outside school, using logins and passwords.  The Upper School library pages provide information on news, events, resources, websites, reading, careers and UCAS and are up-dated regularly.
