The Music department is now housed in a state-of-the-art building, thanks to the generosity of many people who donated funds.

The Music School was a £3 million project, designed by Eric Parry, R.A. and completed in November 2005, and is now amongst the best in independent schools. It was officially opened by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies OBE, the Master of the Queen’s Music, in March 2006.

The Music School holds a 100-seater Recital Hall auditorium, three dedicated academic teaching rooms, a 16-track recording studio, 15 specialist teaching rooms and six additional practice rooms. This was made possible with the support of the Bedford School Foundation and the generosity of OBs, parents and friends of the school.

The Bedford School Foundation continues to fundraise for equipment and instruments. If you are interested in making a donation, click here to find out about ways to give.
